1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using TripLogger ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

TripLogger is a mobile application that provides automatic mileage tracking, expense management, and IRS-compliant reporting for business trips. The App uses GPS and motion sensors to detect and record trips.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To use TripLogger, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your password
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access
  • Be responsible for all activities under your account

3.2 Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the app settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Subscription and Payment

4.1 Free Trial

TripLogger offers a 3-day free trial for new users. You will not be charged during the trial period. Your subscription will automatically begin at the end of the trial unless you cancel.

4.2 Subscription Plans

TripLogger offers monthly and annual subscription plans. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

4.3 Payment

All payments are processed through the Apple App Store. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Refunds are subject to Apple's refund policy.

4.4 Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription anytime through your Apple ID account settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period.

5. Location Services

TripLogger requires access to your device's location services to function properly. By using the App, you consent to the collection and use of location data as described in our Privacy Policy.

You can disable location access in your device settings, but this will prevent the App from automatically detecting trips.

6. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Use the App only for lawful purposes
  • Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the App
  • Not use the App to track others without their consent
  • Verify the accuracy of trip data and reports before use
  • Consult with a tax professional regarding tax deductions

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not guarantee:

  • 100% accuracy of mileage tracking or GPS data
  • Uninterrupted or error-free service
  • Compatibility with all devices or iOS versions
  • That reports will be accepted by the IRS or tax authorities

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TripLogger and its affiliates shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Lost profits, data, or business opportunities
  • Tax penalties or audit issues resulting from app use
  • Damages exceeding the amount you paid for the subscription

9. Tax Compliance

TripLogger provides tools to help track business mileage, but:

  • You are solely responsible for determining which trips are deductible
  • We are not tax advisors and do not provide tax advice
  • You should consult a qualified tax professional
  • Reports are for informational purposes only

10. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the App are owned by TripLogger and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute the App without our permission.

11. Privacy

Your use of the App is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using the App, you agree to our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in courts located in the United States.
